Beskrivelse
We have experience that many people visiting the studio have asked about the opportunity to try their hand at throwing and working with clay. So, we have decided to open Christian Bruun’s wonderful workshop for weekend courses.
We will hold monthly weekend courses in porcelain throwing. The courses will cover the basic techniques, but if you have already had experience throwing before we can work with you to further develop your skills. You can therefore do this course as a complete beginner or as someone with experience, everyone will receive guidance that matches their skill level.
The courses will cover preparing the clay (also known as wedging), centering on the wheel, throwing, and trimming.
It is recommended that you come with a small sketchbook (A5/A6) and pencils/pens to keep a record of the things you learn and to make sketches of things you would like to make. Please wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty.
We will eat together around 13:00, if the weather is nice, we will sit outside between the large jars in front of the workshop with the beautiful forest and nature around. Lunch will be provided both Saturday and Sunday. Complimentary coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits will also be available.
Classes will run Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00.
The course is a total of 10 hours.
The weekend courses will run as follows:
